It was bad. Totally f*cked up my cranial nerves examination, in front of the patient's relatives too. Totally had no f*cking idea what he was going on about - spastic paralysis vs flaccid paralysis. Saw some neurological signs though. 7th nerve palsy (and I promptly forgot the real name of the 6th nerve when asked, thank you very much), a really nice clonus and exaggerated reflex. Totally out of touch of neuro. It's even worse than rheumatology. Today's summary:

Used to know and forgotten
Myotonic pupils
Argyll-Robertson pupils
Cardinal features of Parkinson's Disease
Drug therapy of Parkinson's
Cranial nerve examination
Name of nerve 6 - abduscens nerve!!

Supposed to know and did not know
Definition of ankylosing spondylitis
Signs and symptoms of a.s.
Examination of a patient with Parkinson's
Examination of speech - dysarthria and dysphasia

Totally alien stuff
Parkinson-Plus Syndromes: olivopontocerebellar palsy, Shy-Drager Sydrome
Signs of a C5 upper motor neuron lesion
Inverse supinator reflex

Quite a mouthful eh. Was dripping wet, drenched in perspiration. Nervousness? Or impending AMI?
