It's been such an unbelievably taxing day, both physically and mentally, that I do not know how to begin.

1) school was fine, tutorial was fine. Read up on deep vein thrombosis so didn't get murdered. Tutor brought us to see a haemophilia case, it was astounding to see fresh ruby-red blood seeping slowly out from the wound. And the patient knew more about the drugs than we did! All the fibrin glue, factor 8 and 9 injections, and we found out that factor 7a injections are the best but the most costly. Nurse had trouble peeling away the bandage though. Could almost hear here thoughts screaming, "Damn Doc and damn medical students, make me work so hard just to see a wound?!?"
2) Almost fell alseep during haematology in the afternoon. Almost dessicated by massive haematemesis. Yes, I was positively vomitting blood. Was not concentrating at all.
3) Went to look for Francis who was warded, but he got discharged.
4) Went to MRO to get the medical records of my stroke writeup patient, but he had an outpatient appointment so all his files were gone. Great.
5) Rushed our COFM presentation (once again, F*CK COFM!) with my cg-mates at about 3.30.

Had to rush off cos of a meeting with the lindy hop ensemble guys at the YMCA before the advanced basics lessons. Exciting developments, we agreed on a new cooperation between NUS and LHE. 3 of the participants fell sick - why is everyone sick these days? Had bad stummy ache myself. The lesson was really nice, had private tutoring! hahaha ... but the warmup was like a PE lesson ... the music was really great, and got us into the mood. Looking forward to next week's lesson! What a nice way to round off each week, dance at night! Had a nice talk with Amberly, about being a med student and about my pets. Turned out she's a hamster fanatic! Wonder how many people have this nice love-animal side to them.

Was about to rush home to finish my COFM presentation slides (F*CK COFM again!!) within the 30mins window our dear Bai Kar gave me, when my sis called ... apparently, my youngest sis was in school and ran into some trouble. Saw a ghost. So teacher called my parents, they were out dancing, so she called my 2nd sis. Went to school to see her, I had my stuff ready in case she was hyperventilating. Pretty bad state, she wasn't talking, was trembling and crying. Got her home, now she's sleeping in my mom's room. Which left me with 10 mins to do my COFM. Oh, Fack it. I'll just have to do as much as I possibly can.

Now I'm arranging with Mr. Ye about tomorrow's Belgian dinner!!! YUM. Can't wait. Shall buy a pot of mussels and a beer each. Can you manage 1kg, Mr. Ye? Let's just start off with 500g of those bivalves, and Stella Artois?

And they say med students have no life? Haha ...

OK, we don't.
