Murphy's Law: "Anything that can go wrong, will."
0730 hrs - About to leave for school, and noticed that no flow was going through the chiller inlet pipe. Checked the new pump that supplies the chiller, alas. The transparent rubber hose that sucks water into the pump was irreversibly kinked (one of the reasons why I'd rather spend 5x the amount of money buying threaded rubber hose, but most stores do not carry the 3/4" size I need). OK, switched the pump and chiller off. Tank running on the original old Hailea pump. Murphy's Law - it just had to go wrong. And frankly I knew there was a chance it could.
1730 hrs - Popped by hardware stall after school to buy new rubber hose, and three 90-degree pvc elbows. Idea was to prevent kinking by making a U-pipe out of the elbows, and minimal transparent rubber hose bending.
2130 hrs - finally had time to do leisure activities. Discovered I bought the wrong rubber hose diameter - it's one size too large. Which also meant that my 90-degree elbows are also too large. Wasted money. Thank goodness the stuff ain't expensive. Murphy's Law - it just had to be the wrong size. And frankly I was about to bring the original pipe to the store for comparison and decided not to.
2200 hrs - Decided to improvise. Meddled with the new pump and kinked old hosing, it knocked down on of the functioning water pipes, and .... flash flood #2. Second in 3 consecutive days. This time it was worse, there was a short-circuit and the circuit-breaker cut off the power. Murphy's Law - I just had to knock on that water pipe.
To end off, if it ain't spoilt, don't fix it.
