Not been a good day at school, didn't see a single patient!! Arghh!! And still fretting to bits about the upcoming COFM presentation; our group still has not visited the patient. High chance of it being tomorrow, and even after the visit, we'll have to prepare the case on Powerpoint or something presentable. Only light-hearted thing that happened today was the XXX tutorial by the Prof. In the midst of talking about urinary tract infection, he launched into the Tao of Sex, the Karmasutra, the Do's and Don'ts of a Perfect Copulation. And .. my goodness, he even recommends KY Jelly for lubrication! It was totally graphic, and oddly enjoyable to see an old man still speaking of sex in fond ... memory.
Still stuck on my case discussion, still heading nowhere. It was a bad choice for a case writeup. Why 4 writeups, why?? And why COFM?? Dr. Hsu showed us a couple of X-rays today, kind of like a spontaneous tutorial. First one was a cardiomegaly - how to differentiate between left ventricular hypertrophy and left atrial hypertrophy. And the other was a calcified aorta. Which I happily said was a coarcation of the aorta. Dammit. I suck.
Really starting to wear out in school. The drive isn't there anymore, the flame has almost been extinguished. Really, NUS should have chucked in a 1-week break in between the surgical and medical posting.
Oh, and I found out about my youngest sister's blog! She was typing it out when I caught a glimpse of the URL. Hmmm ... very nice insight into teenage angst and what a normal teenager should go through. Never did have any of that.
Yay, the Sarracenia are out of dormancy! Checked the fridge just now, 3 of the pots are starting to put out their Spring leaves. How very nice. The garden has been lying barren for a couple of months as the plants, one by one, went into dormancy. The Sarracenia went first, and a month ago, all the Dionaea started too. Shall have to remember to put the Sarracenia back out into the garden tomorrow.
