Just back from visiting my uncle in Gleneagles ... had a second stenting of his coronary artery in 2 months! The place is unbelievable - it looks more like a hotel than a hospital, complete with red carpets and AAA class wards (suite wards! wonder if they include a jacuzzi?). Must be lovely to work there, but I'm guessing the cases aren't extraordinary.

Really not cut out for orthopaedics. I hate it. Can't remember McRae, even though I've been trying real hard these couple of days. The clinical examination techniques fill up one entire book?!? Goodness ... I'm really going to cry when the new posting starts.

Did some tank maintenance today! Re-arranged the corals (again), scraped some stubborn algae off the front panel, and took out the activated carbon - it's No Charcoal Day today. Made a trip down to Jln Kayu to check out a new shipment, but it's disappointing. Would have bought the lovely blue tip Elegance coral, but it looked rather ill so I gave it a pass. The other farm at Jln Kayu did have some very nice star polyps though! Damn. Should have bought a colony.

Might be trooping down to Pasir Ris tomorrow to visit the 3 farms there - have never been there before. Oh well, we'll see. Now actively on the lookout for a good specimen of blue tip elegance, and promised myself: no other corals until I buy the elegance!
