Went on the rampage, and splurged yesterday! Of course, I was instigated partly by yx. Henry must love it whenever she comes with me to his shop. =P

Anyway, I saw the one and only Rose bubble tip anemone (RBTA) that I simply couldn't pass up. Something about the colouration caught my eye, though I couldn't pinpoint the x-factor back in the shop. So I paid a hefty sum for this baby, went back and checked Reef Central photos - OMG! It's the one and only RBTA with lavender tips that I've ever seen!

She's now crawling around the tank trying to find a place to rest, and as of this morning she wedged herself under a rock crevice. Hope she settles down soon, and in a nice position for viewing. That's the problem with anemones - you never know where they will end up.

When I took the pic, she's not fully expanded yet - should reach about twice the diameter.

OK, this shopping spree marks the end of ya-ya-hood. It's a new week, and the intensive-study week. Brought Brownie to the dog pen at west coast park today, and he was unusually frisky today. Not to mention grouchy! Fought with a Shetland terrier, and thereafter he started chasing every single white dog he saw! Except the huskies, of course. They are much too big for him to pounce on. Oh, some huge retriever actually came bounding up and slopping saliva all over me! Then yx did a most silly thing - she bolted, and obviously the dog starting bounding after her. Tsk .. the screams. Then there was this guy with 4 greyhounds who was being rather irresponsible, playing frisbee with his dogs in the park. I don't really mind the doggies streaking all over the place, but what if the frisbee hits someone? And there was this really nasty person who started whipping his dog in public using the leash. Cripes .. people like these don't deserve dogs. =( A dog's education should be with love, not with physical brutality.
