OK, before I start yammering about today, Mr. Ye - go update your blog, yes? Do it in front of Mr. B*tch! Haha .. and maybe convince him to keep one too. Bet it'll be interesting!
First, it was a most fulfilling day. I completed my powerpoint slides for Thur's seminar presentation by 5pm (way before my personal deadline =D ) and emailed it to Nicholas, and phew!! A load off my mind!! Although I had bad, bad trouble with the epidemiology figures. Most probably will get questioned on the credibility, but HECK. It's so difficult. I filled up the car, visited coralfarm and bought loads of gorgonians, had a nice dinner, and read up a bit on bone infections. CRAP. I AM FEELING VERY VERY BAD. FREAKING ORTHOPAEDICS, I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO START ON IT AND NOT AN OUNCE OF PHYSICAL EXAMINATION DO I REALLY KNOW!!!! ARGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, wait. What was that?? Mood swings. =( Seriously I'm feeling a little down in the dumps right now, so I shall talk about the good things to bring my mood up eh?
Time for a little story on karma. Weeks ago, I visited CoralFarm, and adopted these 3 cute sparrow chicks that they dumped in a corner to die. Today, I went there with the intention of buying a shitload of gorgonians, but sadly, most were old stock and doing very badly (they don't have facilities for feeding them). Actually, there were some really fantastic specimens - one that was deep magenta, and another shocking purple, but both had receding tissue at the base ... sign of starvation and impending death. There was this one in their display tank that really caught my eye, it's organge with orange polyps, but when I asked, one of the employees - the manager, I think- said it's not for sale. Then while the auntie was printing out my bill for the corals, I asked her when the next gorgonian shipment will be. So she asked if these were not good, and I told her the truth - that most were dying. And that the one in their display tank caught my eye. Now, she suddenly remembered that I saved those sparrow babies weeks ago (I asked her if I could have them, back then) and did a most touching thing - she nicked the gorgeous orange gorgonian out of the tank and let me have it!! Was really nice of her, eh?
I guess what goes around does come around, albeit sometimes in a manner we least expect.
