Spent a BOMB
Hmm .. Stan and I decided to go back to SGH another day to sign our blogs and give our tutors the cards, since EW didn't want to go. *spank!* Heard they both did fine, yay! Their short cases were rather horrid though, since one was there watching while the other did the examination. Must have been super stressful for HS!
So, without going to SGH, yx and I agreed to go visit Henry's shop. Spent nearly an hour there, and for once yx didn't complain when I spent 20 minutes watching 3 tanks of fish and deciding which one to buy - she was busy watching the glass shrimp in Henry's display tank. Needless to say, I half-regretted leaving her alone 50mins later, since she bugged me to buy her a pair of glass shrimps. Macrobrachium venustum I think. Shall call Henry later to confirm the species name. His shop was amazing today. All the Sri Lanka, Red Sea and Barrier Reef shipments came in. Sigh .. wish I had $60 to spare for the pair of blue harlequin shrimps. My mom will string me up on the ceiling if I ever tell her I'm intending to spent $60 on a pair of prawns.
I went home with a pair of glass shrimp, a mated pair of flame angels and a single signal goby. Will have to eat grass for the rest of the month.
Right now all of them are doing well; the flame angels are living peacefully and not nipping on my precious clam or corals (touch wood), the glass shrimp are swaying on yx's precious green mushrooms, and the signal goby's starting to sift through the sand for food.
Oh, I showed Henry the video of my Xenia elongata pulsing away, and his initial reaction was, "Are you sure it's elongata??", then he proceeded to ask me what conditions they were in. Since elongata's never known to pulse normally.
Going down to watch my tank!
