Waiting at home for Stan to call after his test, then we'll troop down to SGH to sign our logbooks and give our tutors their cards. The cards come with bookmarks, but I wanted to buy a packet of Mint Milanos for each of them. Yes, expensive taste eh. But those 2 tutors simply deserve the best! My, what a stark difference compared to *cough* AH's tutors *cough*. These guys are so warm and eager to teach!

Another nice thing today. Got wind that Henry's got his Sri Lanka fish shipment in, and he's got a tankload of flame angels, some of them may be mated pairs. I'll drop by his place in the evening and reserve a pair, if they really are mated. Just worried they might nip at my clam though, some of these flames are notorious for a sudden change in appetite for corals and clams.

Also, re-arranged my corals. I fragged (reef lingo for "propagated") my gorgeous neon orange zoanthid colony, but the baby piece fell behind the rocks so I retrieved it and re-arranged some stuff at the same time. Then I realised something exciting - my Xenia elongata is the pulsing type!!! Took a video of it. Some Xenia species are famous for their pulsing habits - imagine a bunch of star-like polyps opening and closing on their own accord. All of a sudden you're reminded again that corals are animals, not plants. I'm glad I bought my second colony of X.elongata yesterday! Now waiting for the Fiji shipment to arrive in the lim chu kang farm - those pure white "pompom" pulsing Xenia from Fiji are even more amazing.

Think I'm starting to become a maniac. Disinfected both tables in my room with chlorhexidine. =D And I placed a bottle of it in my car, in case I need it one day. And I emptied a capful of Dettol in each of the toilets' cisterns. Mmmmmm .. the smell of Dettol when you flush the toilet later!

Brownie's been ill the last 2 days, he can't climb the stairs. Left him downstairs, and feeling sad. =( He's starting to get better though, I think it's constipation. If he's still not fully well by Sunday (I'm going to monitor for bloating - could be I/O!) I'll get him an appointment at the vet.
