Wolf in sheep's clothing ..

Now, Henry was totally amused when I told him my clownfish refused to host in my bubble-tip anaemone, and she thinks she's a reef chromis (the blue-green fish) instead! Now here's a shot to prove it. They were huddling together during a water change today.

It's even more amusing on video, and I shot one last night when I discovered that fish react to the same stimulus differently during day and night. In the day, when I put my gigantic 1-metre forceps into the tank, they all crowd round trying to find food. (The forceps holds my anemone's food) Now, when the blue "evening" lights come on, ALL the fish disperse in under a second the moment my forceps goes into the tank. When I remove, they ALL appear at the exact same time, in a shoal. Extremely amusing to keep doing it again and again and again and again!

Perhaps, instincts to avoid predatory fish that go round at night?
