Going to be really ill tomorrow. Ate fish that has been left out raw for almost 6 hours. It was marinated with alcohol, garlic and herbs though, and left under cling-wrap at room temp - shouldn't be too bad I hope? Forgot to cook it when I came back in the afternoon.

Panfried mackerel doesn't taste too bad, need to work on the crispiness though. Maybe next time I'll boil it first then sautee over really high heat. The experimental sauce was fab though! 1 tspn white wine, dash of Worcestershire sauce, dab of fish sauce, 1 tspn abalone/oyster sauce, with loads of chopped parsley, garlic and dried tarragon. Shall do it again maybe on Fri to see if results are reproducable. (sounds like some Bio practical) Come think of it, looking forward to the X'mas smoked salmon. Not the ham. It's gross. Mr. Ye, I want haddock. Go on, try to grill it lightly. Parcel not in yet, hope you did not send me cous cous, I'm still not done with cooking mine, a few tablespoons left. Any ideas? Spike my mom's fried rice with it? =D

Making beef lasagne on Xmas day. Shit .. shouldn't have made that promise. Get irritated with lasagne, it's a lot of work for a junky mess in a tray.

OH YES. While I'm on the subject of food - I hope someone out there has tried Coffee Club's Tiramisu, because it's FANTASTIC. And not too expensive too, around $6 for a very generous serving. Think it's at least 4 inches by 4 inches. Best part is, they make their Tiramisu using the traditional recipe of Mascarpone cheese and Kahlua!! The silly boo-boos we get at $2 a tiny portion out there don't even know what Mascarpone is; they use cottage cheese at best. And no alcohol at all, let alone Kahlua. Shall try the mushroom pate next time, but the rest of the food there isn't cheap, shit. Their Tiramisu has absolutely the best value for money - even the cheese retained its herby taste.
