Feeling a little down. School's starting tomorrow, cofm report's not completed, yx leaves on Wed, can't play games with my sis - how depressing can all these get? And where did yesterday go to? Hmph.

Tried to cook Maggi porridge (yes, yes .. the horror. Instant food, i.e. improper food i.e. lazy food) and the package said simmer for 10 mins with lid slightly open, stirring occasionally. Somehow I only read the part on "10 mins", so I happily left it to boil at high heat without stirring and sat down reading this Dining Guide by AmEx, which really is excellent. Haha .. ok, Brownie salvaged the situation. He heard funny sounds from the pot and rushed into the kitchen, and the porridge was still very much edible. Stark contrast - there I was, reading a fine dining guide, while my simple instant porridge gets charred. (Mr. Ye - I suppose this is CHAR-BOILED?? =D )

Dopey helped me test out the new webcam last night - thanks a mil Dopey!! =D Happy that it worked so much better than Chun's. Goes to show that not all reputable brands are good. Mine's some Taiwanese make, "Black Man Pc Camera", while Chun's Logitech really falls behind in terms of pixel quality and framerates.

Really must finish the goddamn report by 2pm today, anyone knows if it's really THAT important? It's good to take pride in each piece of work, but this? Hmm. For once, I have reservations about doing decent work. Seems ridiculous that we're fretting over how many stairs a man has to climb and whether he has adequate lighting at home, when just nearby thousands of bloated corpses are floating unclaimed and everyone's in anguish.

Was reading yesterday's ST report on the tsunami, and got rather teary =[ It's remarkable, how everyone rushes to chip in and help. Toned-down NY celebrations, days of mourning, food and monetary aid, medical and humanitarian aid. There's so much love after all.

Refuse to read the papers today, I'm just going to sink into depression.

Maggi Instant. I used it quite often here. It's actually quite good, coz if you want to get chok consistency the trad. way you would have to cook it for hours. So, maggi instant is not all that awful. It's good actually.
the longer u cook, just keep adding water loh.
