T.duratii
Tillandsia duratii in flower!!! The flowers are lavender and emit a heavy but very pleasant fragrance. Nice time to flower eh? At its bottom right is a Tillandsia xerographica, the first pup from my original plant. I took an awful risk on this one, and ripped the pup off the mother plant to see if more will pop up, since T.xerographica is notorious for producing only 1 pup per mother - i.e., the population level stays exactly the same, since the mother plant always dies off after that.
Well - it worked!! Now I have 3 plants from 1 original plant. =) The huge mess on the left is Tillandsia "Peru Inca Gold", one of those odd hybrids.
