Far Infrared Red in Aquaria?

This probably came late, but this lengthy discussion came as a result of a product I also saw, this Eco Aqualiser thingy that claims to emit far infrared red and single-polarity magnetism. Which is supposed to help with water quality.

Erm ... magnetic mattresses, anyone?

I can't believe I actually spent time reading the stuff, it's so obvious that the product is simply snake oil.
