My little boy's going to the vet at 11am, I think I might have sounded a little hysterical to the nurse. =
Oh dear, I do hope it's a simple superficial bacterial infection secondary to foreign body in the eye. And hopefully the antibiotics (if any) will be PO instead of topical ... he refuses to let bottles of liquid come near him. Still frisky this morning, and completely tore up a wad of tissue paper as he always does. I might give him an entire roll to play with just for treats today.
And have to remember to buy food for the mice. They had been living off veggies and bread the last week or so.
Fed Acans this morning, voracious appetite for such a small coral. Still wondering about the placement. The tricky thing with bleaching corals is - you never know if it bleached due to insufficient light, or excessive light. I'm erring on the side of caution now, and assumed it's due to insufficient light. So the thing's halfway up my tank now. Did some small re-arrangements of the rockwork to accomodate the extra corals. Still need bushy specimens on the island of rock on the right. Accidentally fragged my brown Xenia while shifting rocks, so that piece went on the right and partially shaded the hammer coral. Waiting for red sea Xenia to multiply, then frag into 3 and rotate the rock it's on so I can fill up with more corals. Thinking of buying cheap $4 zoanthid colonies, peeling them off the rock and sticking them into the back glass panel as a background. Yx and I tried applying Japanese tank sticker some 6 months ago and met with horrendous defeat. We ended up having our hands stuck in the small gap between the tank and the wall trying to yank the sticker back out.
Shall have to find time to squeeze in a bank visit later. I think mine broke this month.
