Water cleared up a little bit, and had reassurance from HypoC that it's supposed to look like that after a dose of sugar!

Anyway, we had a most exciting day today at Aquamarin (Janet permed her hair and aww ..). Bought yet another gorgonian (sea fan), a cleaner wrasse, a feather duster worm and 2 cans of pur-II ... which is something like activated carbon. It was going at a promotion, so no harm done even if it's snake oil.

The thing that really sorely tested me was the acrylic fluidised reactor ... it's so nice!! I've got a $25 model that's in use now,and it should last for a long time more actually. So hmm .. that doesn't justify spending $95 on something that's just prettier eh.

Outbreak of diatoms in tank's glass, I haven't seen diatoms for ages, thanks to the phosphate absorber. Maybe it's my overfeeding in the past few weeks, in light of my enthusiasm to make sure the purple tilefishes get fed. They are getting more bold now, coming out for feeding more frequently.

Off to skate! I can feel a double chin popping up, scary.
