Chek Jawa trip
Ooh, it was fun! Hundreds of carpet anemones lying around (a kid and the guide actually accidentally trod on one), really pretty tube anemones, starfish, sand dollars etc etc. Yx and I quickly got irritated however by the people who oooh'd and aaaah'd over hermit crabs. She and Tanny somehow found a cowrie, and we had fun trying to dig up sea cucumbers and sand dollars. It's a pretty place, everyone should visit it one day!
Tour guide was probably a little unnerved by the 2 of us though. Yx started telling him about the biomaterials research on horseshoe crab blood while I beat him to the identification of a colonial tunicate. =D He subsequently suggested that we should be tour guides too, haha.
On a naughtier note, I did bring a couple of things back. One was a HUGE, empty barnacle shell. And I picked up this lump of eggs that stumped me, so I took 1 home to hatch and see what it is.
