Brownie at the Doggie Fair

Me, yx, and 2 of my sisters went to the first National Dog Walk today at West Coast, it's in conjunction with our NDP celebrations so all the doggies and people were wearing red and/or white! It was pretty fun! We started off at carpark 2 (where we held one of our BBQs in JC) and took a 1km dog walk to the dog pen right at the other end of the park. At the end point, all the participating doggies collecting huge goody bags. Brownie received a gigantic bag of dog biscuits, 3 small packets of biscuit samples, 1 box of biscuits from Eukanuba, 1 packet of Kangaroo meat (hell - now dogs get better fare than we all do), 1 packet of doggie cheese cookies (see previous comment ...), and a packet of crispy fishskin snacks. Goodness.
It was pretty fun during the walk, although we had to take care not to trod on any doggies - tonnes of tiny ones dodging between our legs on a narrow footpath. Here's an example:

And of course, Brownie was very naughty. He kept stopping and running off the footpath onto the grass to sniff at other dogs' pee. What sort of hobby is that? We also stopped about 5 times along the way to let him have a drink of water, the poor boy's got to walk 1km today. Well actually, towards the end, he got pretty tired out. Plonked right down on the grass during his final water break and refused to budge at all, so yx ended up carrying him like a baby all the way to the end. He was good already though, MANY other doggies got carried around halfway through, and some looked so worn out, they looked like this:

At the end, Brownie got his lovely goodies and we all sat down in the dog pen where he ambled around (obviously he dropped his normal sprinting activities in light of the horrid walk before that) sniffing at other dogs' behinds. And got his behinds sniffed at, come think of it.

The fun all ended when Channel U and Channel NewsAsia arrived and started talking to people.
We fled the scene.
