F*ed up bio clock!!!!!!!! Slept at 2.30am this morning - and only with the help of Mr. Bailey, mind - and woke abruptly at 6am feeling like the world's all good, sunny, golden, and fresh. Crap. I know I NEEEEEED the sleep, but my body's saying, "Wake up idiot!! You have 2 hours left to cram stuff for your non-existant exam!!"

Was looking at my red sea Xenia, and while it was looking bad as usual, it suddenly struck me as to what might be causing its slow but sure demise. I'm HIGHLY suspecting the dreaded zoanthid-eating aeolid nudibranch, Burghia sp.

My remaining zoanthid colony looks to be suffering, so high chance of these fricking pests around. Usually too small to be seen if you're not particularly out looking for them, but I'll try. Might need an emergency decapitation (without OT fascilities) for the Xenia. Yes, I think that might work. Decapitate, dip in Lugol's iodine, remove every single zoanthid coral and related invertebrates for a dip, then quarantine in another tank and let whatever pests in the main tank starve.

I'm so irritated by them.

Yay, meeting HypoC on Monday! Hey HypoC, if you're reading this, I went to my tank last night and I think I have more than just extra Xenia frags. =D I have a bunch of green star polyps, brown photosynthetic gorgonian (sea whip) and green-brown parazoanthids, let me know what you think. Nothing very spectacular, but good stuff for starting off and seeing what can survive and what can't. Support captive propagation of corals and save the ocean!! But honestly .. damn your T5s =D. Nothing's too demanding for T5s ... muahahaha. Have you seen Danano's tank? He keeps SPS under T5s!!
