OK, to cap it all, the entire holidays was spent inside both the bathrooms. One more downstairs but gosh. I do not want to that one. No one uses it at all.
A summary:
Shared bathroom
1. Re-grouted floor
2. Sealed grout
3. Installed glass shelf for soaps
4. Installed shower curtain rails
5. Put in bubbles shower curtain
6. Caulked bathroom edges and toiletbowl edge
KIV:
1. Change the toilet seat to one with a ocean theme
2. Re-grout walls
3. Hang blue glass bubbles, shells and ornaments to complete theme
4. Add framed water-themed picture on one of the walls
5. New bin similar to mom's
Mom's bathroom
1. Re-grouted floor, vanity sink shelf and all the walls
2. Sealed grout
3. Double-sealed grout at water-prone areas
4. Caulked bathtub edges
5. Replaced bin
6. Installed new lighting
KIV:
1. Add glass shelf near bathtub to hold bath accessories
2. Replace mirrored cabinet on the wall
3. Replace the shocking plastic toiletries bracket with a nicer one, preferrably glass.
4. Get a better-looking toothbrush-holder .. I hate plastic in toilets.
Total expenditure so far for both bathrooms:
$10 - 2 packets of grouting powder
$8 - silicone grout sealant
$8 - painter's caulk
$2 - turpentine (didn't use any of it in the end. Meant for nasty spill accidents.)
$15 - curtain railing system
$5 - corner system for curtain rails
$19 - bubbles shower curtain
$9 - glass shelf
$4 - 2 wooden soap holders
$8 - steel bin
$15 - lighting fixture
$5 - 20W energy-saving bulb
$3 - misc nails and screws
