Spent yesterday getting ready for easy animal husbandry before all the academic lunacy starts all over again today. What I did:

1. Chopped up shrimp into halves, packed them individually in ziploc bags in the freezer for the anemones.
2. Blended shrimp, mysis shrimp and amino acids (aspartic acid actually), packed them in individual 50-ml containers for Dendrophyllia.
3. Chopped up cyclop-eeze and blended spirulina fish food into 1cm chunks ready to be dropped in for the fish.

Yep. With individual bottles etc, no more waiting for food to thaw. Should be able to spend just under 15 mins per day on the tank if need be.

Also, remember I was suspecting the zoanthid-eating nudibranch Berghia sp. infesting the tank? After several nights of trying to catch one in vain, I finally took out the whole bloody rock of zoanthids and gave them a dip in Lugol's solution. And guess what I found ....

What other people found too

I can't believe I caught one of these pests just 3 days after reading this thread. The stupid spider's now soaked in formaldehyde as a grim warning to all other sea spiders. DO NOT TOUCH MY ZOANTHIDS!!

Hopefully, my zoanthid woes will now be ameliorated.
