Dendrophyllia sp.!!


It looks like a sun coral, but it isn't. It's several times larger than a Tubaestrea sun coral, and is also more attractive in the sense that Dendrophyllia, unlike Tubaestrea, is not totally nocturnal - it opens up also in the day! However, it is also non-photosynthetic, so I'll have to feed it pretty often. In fact, last night, each of the 2 polyps I bought ate 3 pieces of shrimp! Trying to collect more colour morphs, but will have to see how these 2 polyps turn out in the long run. And also, HOPEFULLY the price will fall by then.
