A belated tank update:
Was taking a break from case writeups yesterday and decided to feed the fish. Saw original RBTA clone #1 poking out from the left-sided island, and had a sudden brainwave: why not isolate all my anemones on the right-sided island? No more problems of them stinging the other corals!
As I was trying to get at the anemone, I pulled at a rock, and ... RUMBLE TUMBLE. Everything came down. Ended up spending almost an hour at the tank, re-scaping the left side. It now actually looks much better. =) I'll take a pic soon and post it.
Also, I upped the CO2 input into the calcium reactor, from 20 bubbles a second to 40 a second. Massive aragonite dissolution in the reactor, and I can almost hear the stony coral breathing sighs of relief: "Ah! More calcium at last!" Really should start figuring out how to get $$ to buy a solenoid valve, so I can control the CO2 and pH electronically.. it's so odd, having a pH controller and not actually using it.
p.s. I did manage to extricate the anemone in the end.
