HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

Time for resolutions (psst - they never work)
Time to remember the good and forget the sad
Time take a deep breath
and try to start anew
Time to look back and smile at another year past
and to relish the years to come
Time to be grateful for all that I have.

Hmm .. I could be quite the mad and bad poet during a high eh?

Just back from the RSYC New Year's Eve Countdown.

Food = 6/10 (the shame! for $88 a person??).
Bad seafood, cheap desserts, no complimentary alcohol?!? (YES CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??!!!)

Service = 7/10
Can't blame the poor staff for forgetting to fill our cokes, they were busy enough. And hey, it's the festive season!

Entertainment = 4.5/10
Oh dear. I don't want to talk about it. Compared to one we went last year at the Shangri-La, this was sooo bad.

But when we counted down to the new year and sang Auld Lang Syne, I forgot all about the bad part of the evening. Not to mention we won 2 wines (portugese red and french blanc) and an electric oven during the draw, muahahahaha.

After ordering a couple of Heinekens (yes .. no ale AT ALL. Not even Bodington's or Kilkenny, it's shocking. I really must talk to the F&B about this.) and a Corona, we had an hour or so of good music, good dancing. And spontaneously did some Lindy to Mambo No.5, muahahaha. Merengue'd with my sister XX (2 went, XT didn't want to dance at all), did some pretty crazy 3-person partner dancing, and club salsa'd with yx (street freestyle salsa, not the social kind - been 2 years since I touched that). 60-65 year-old ladies and 50-year-old men with pendulous middles waving all around during a rave dance - now THAT'S something well worth watching!!!

And thanks to XT for lending me a LOVELY shirt! It's very dark grey, almost black, with dark grey thick stripes. I started bugging XT to let me HAVE that shirt =D. In any case, it made me look so ... latino. Yeah, it shows some chest and for once I'm not self-conscious, cos it just fitted me like I was born with it! Definitely going to borrow it again for any dance functions with Samba in it.

Right-O. Definitely worked off >100% of intake today, so I'm all set for anniversary dinner tomorrow evening. LA LA LALALALA LALALALALA Hmm a little hypomanic.



Yep. Sunshine, yellow flowers. Definitely so not me, definitely hypomanic and on an endorphin + alcohol high. YUM! LIFE!
