UTTERLY irritated by the UCLA admin. Woman in-charge wasn't around the whole day, I've been calling since 3am and hardly slept for 4 hours before calling again. Central coordinator hasn't heard from woman-in-charge at the hospital I applied to (which, incidentally, is a 1-hour drive away from LA). And now here I am, unbelievably tired and irked and disgusted. The woman-in-charge sounded absolutely charming on the answering machine though! Very professional, eloquent and crisp.
OK, someone tell me why I applied to a hospital so darned far away from town?
Oh, I remember. Cos everyone else is applying to CHS, and (much to C & M's horror too) another pair of people will be at CHS. I just don't like meeting people around. Some sort of behavioral problem or personality trait I think.
So now I'm stranded with Glasgow's confirmation letter - to take it, or not to take it? I need to reply soon, and arrange accomodation. Arghhhhhh. Actually, Glasgow would be interesting for a few reasons. Mostly personal though. I doubt they dispense the same amount of responsibility and free hand to medical students as the American colleges do. But travel-wise, definitely interesting. And not to mention that the reef and CP scene in the UK is huge.
On the other hand, SF and LA would be fascinating as well. Covering the Western coast this time, would be nice to see the difference. Not to mention visits down to SF for some company and drinks eh, Mr. Ye?
Now, to do a learning spurt for paeds. One of the final hurdles.
