Why you should never throw away a dead coral - remember the dear piece of Dendrophyllia which won me the photo competition? And how it got stung to death by the neighbouring rose bubble tip anemone? I left the skeleton in an area behind the rocks, and it actually regenerated! Now there are some 7 babies growing out from the skeleton. Gave they were surviving really well without me noticing, and without supplementary food, so I suppose there's now an equilibrium between planktonic life and predation in the tank. In any case, I gave the polyps a hearty feeding of Cyclop-eeze last night.

Going for a rather major revamp of the tank when I get back from the UK. Oh dear .. $$ issues. Hmmm. Totally missed out on a caribbean shipment a few weeks ago. Exams. This is SO LOUSY. Yes, a trip of coralfarm is in order. Somehow, the 250W Radiums aren't doing a fantastic job. The corals are colouring up without growing because of the light spectrum.
